The tuning system is intended for Harley-Davidson engines equipped with DELPHI EFI (diagnostic communication J1850 or CAN BUS)
The tuning system is integrated into the software of the diagnostic system DIAG4BIKE, the basic tuning software DIAG4TUNE is included as a FREE option in the diagnostic software versions 12 and later. To tune an individual motorcycle a TUNING DONGLE must be purchased that can be used for that specific motorcycle.
The tuning process does not require the installation of additional component(s) or any motorcycle harness modification. Tuning is achieved through modification of the EFI Calibrations (software modification/reflash) exclusively via the diagnostic connector.
The first step in TUNING is saving of the original EFI calibration. The tuning operator can restore the original EFI Calibration at any time during tuning process (stock calibration)
The tuning process is used to optimize FUEL MAPS to accommodate any changes to the configuration of engine components or accessories (exhaust or/and intake system etc.)

BASIC TUNING DONGLE (P/N #867-02050)

The Basic Tuning Dongle enables EASY MODE in the tuning software. EASY MODE provides the ability to adjust fuel trim tables, acceleration enrichment and spark advance tables manually in a limited range of +/- 20%. Closed loop mode can be switched on or off and Throttle By Wire speed up function can be activated (crisper response). Other functions are restricted.

ADVANCED TUNING DONGLE (P/N # 867-02051)

The key function of the Tuning Dongle is to save the original EFI calibration. With this function the original calibration can be restored at any time, the tuning dongle also incorporates the tuning licence exclusively for one motorcycle and must be purchased for tuning of each individual motorcycle and will be mated to the ECM of that motorcycle. It enables ADVANCED MODE in the tuning software. Custom fuel maps and timing tables can be created as desired with the help of the AFR tuning monitor or downloaded from a database of preset maps.

AFR TUNING MONITOR (P/N # 867-02070)

The AFR Tuning Monitor is used for the advanced tuning mode and consists of two wideband Air/Fuel ratio sensors and a compact electronic unit. It is an option for the DIAG4BIKE communication interface and can be used with a roller station or on road tests to develop custom fuel maps.

LAMBDA INSTALLATION KIT (P/N # 867-02071)

This set is an option to the AFR Tuning Monitor. It allows you to install a pair of wide band sensors on all exhausts where it is not possible to simply replace the installed O2 sensors (M18 thread).The set contains a powerful double pump, which ensures high accuracy and measurement speed of the actual AFR in each cylinder. The pump is powered by a 12V supply and can therefore also be used for road testing.
